2023 (March 14, 21, 28) Workshop Series: Biodiversity, Conservation and Reintroduction: From Theory to Practice with Dr Renata Ferriera (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil), Concordia University and the 4th Space, Montreal, QC. Description: A three-part workshop focused on primate behavioural ecology and conservation of capuchin monkeys in NE Brazil; and development of quantitative skills in R programming language.

2023 (February 15-16) Leadership Workshop: Collective Leadership and Science Communication, Concordia University, Montreal, QC. Description: A two-day workshop where our LEADS trainees discover how to connect leadership and story-making for effective communication within differing worldviews (https://sustainabilitydigitalage.org/featured/storytelling-and-science-two-worlds-one-vision/).

2023 (January-February) Graduate Seminar in University Teaching, GradProSkills and the Concordia Centre for Teaching and Learning (CLT), Montreal, QC. A 5-week intensive seminar course to develop skills and learn methodologies for teaching. Description: Students who completed the course will be able to: (1) apply the theory and practice of university teaching; (2) develop a course syllabus; (3) design and deliver lessons with greater confidence; (4) express their teaching philosophy in a written statement for future job applications in teaching.

2022. LEADS (Leadership in Environmental and Digital Innovation for Sustainability) Program, NSERC Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE), Montreal, QC. The program seeks out graduate-level students interested in developing the skills, knowledge & experience in sustainability science and digital innovation to accelerate transformations to a more sustainable & equitable global society.

2019 (April). Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science (QCBS) Workshop, Concordia University, Montreal, QC. A half-day workshop for ecologists on advanced multivariate analyses. Demonstrates constrained methods such as redundancy analysis, multivariate regression tree and linear discriminant analysis to explore how environmental variables may be driving patterns in species assemblage across sites.

2019 (March). Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science (QCBS) Workshop, McGill University, Montreal, QC. A half-day workshop for ecologists on multivariate analyses, including distance metrics and transformations for clustering, unconstrained ordinations, and to perform Principal Component Analysis, Correspondence Analysis, Principal Coordinate Analysis and Nonmetric MultiDimensional Scaling, to find patterns in data.

2019 (February). Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science (QCBS) Workshop, McGill University, Montreal, QC. A half-day workshop for ecologists on the steps to conduct a linear mixed model analysis, check its assumptions, report results, and visually represent the model in R.
